Terms of Service
Effective November 1, 2026
These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Road to Prep LLC ("Road to Prep," "we," "us"). They cover the Road to Prep website and platform, memberships, the Academy, evaluations, and our events. By creating an account, registering for an event or buying anything from us, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. Please read them.
1. Who can have an account
- Family accounts must be created by a parent or legal guardian who is at least 18. The parent is responsible for the account and for every athlete profile on it. Athletes may use the account with their parent's permission and supervision.
- School accounts are for coaches, admissions staff and administrators at schools who are at least 18. They're free, verified by Road to Prep before they can see athletes, and also governed by our School User Agreement.
- Evaluators are Road to Prep staff and approved partners, governed by our Evaluator Agreement.
Keep your login private and tell us right away if you think someone else has used it. Give us accurate information and keep it current.
2. Athlete profiles and your content
You're responsible for what you post: profile details, statistics, academic information, photos and video. Only post content that is true and that you have the right to share. You keep ownership of your content. You give Road to Prep permission to store, display and process it to provide the service to the people allowed to see it, and to show your athlete in public rankings only if you opt in. You can remove content at any time.
3. Acceptable use
Don't use Road to Prep to harass, threaten or mislead anyone; impersonate someone; post another family's information; contact athletes directly outside the parent-approved messaging (school staff); copy, scrape or resell information from the platform; upload anything illegal, infringing or inappropriate for minors; or interfere with the site's security. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules, and we report suspected harm to children to the authorities.
4. Evaluations, rankings and no guarantees
Evaluations and rankings are the honest opinions of Road to Prep evaluators at a point in time. They are not guarantees, and they aren't endorsements by any school. Road to Prep helps families and schools connect, but we don't control admission, roster, scholarship, financial aid or college recruiting decisions, and we don't guarantee any outcome. See our Evaluations and Rankings Policy.
5. The Academy
The Academy is educational information to help families run their own process. It isn't legal, financial, medical or admissions advice. Recruiting rules (including NCAA calendars) change often, so confirm important dates with the schools and governing bodies involved. Academy content is for your family's personal use; please don't copy or redistribute it.
6. Membership, billing and renewal {#membership}
- Pro monthly: $99 per month with a 6-month minimum term ($594 total). After the minimum term, it renews automatically every month at the then-current price until you cancel.
- Pro annual: $599 for one year. It renews automatically every year at the then-current price until you cancel.
- Advising add-ons are billed monthly on top of Pro and renew automatically every month until you cancel. Advising requires an active Pro membership.
- Your consent: when you subscribe you authorize us (through Stripe) to charge your payment method at the start of each billing period until you cancel.
- Cancelling: cancel online any time from Membership, or by emailing info@roadtoprep.com. Cancellation stops future renewals. During a monthly plan's minimum term, you can choose online to end Pro when the minimum term is over; the minimum term itself is still owed. Your access continues until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Reminders and price changes: we'll email you before an annual renewal and at least 30 days before any price increase takes effect, so you can cancel first.
- Refunds: payments aren't refundable for partial periods, except where the law requires otherwise or we decide to make an exception. If we're unable to provide the service you paid for, we'll refund the unused portion.
- Taxes and failed payments: prices don't include taxes that may apply. If a payment fails, we may pause Pro features until it's resolved.
7. Events {#events}
- Registration fees are non-refundable, including for cancellations, no-shows, injuries or changes in personal circumstances, unless we cancel the event. If we cancel an event, we'll offer a refund or credit. If weather or conditions require changes, we'll reschedule or modify the event where we can.
- Waiver: a parent or guardian must sign our release of liability and assumption of risk for each player.
- Conduct: players, families, coaches and spectators must follow event staff instructions and treat others with respect. We may remove anyone whose conduct is unsafe or abusive, without a refund.
- Medical: families must tell us about medical conditions staff should know, and players must stop participating and be evaluated if a head injury is suspected.
- Photos and video: events are filmed and photographed as described in our Photo, Video and Media Pass Policy.
- School tables and team registrations follow these same rules. A coach who registers a team is responsible for the team's information and for sharing the team link only with their players.
8. Our intellectual property
Road to Prep, The Road Home, The Battle Ground, our logos, the Academy, the School Finder and the platform are owned by Road to Prep. You may use them only as these Terms allow.
9. Other websites
Road to Prep links to other sites (such as school websites and video hosts). We aren't responsible for their content or practices.
10. Disclaimers
Road to Prep is provided "as is." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose. School information in the School Finder comes from the schools; we work to keep it accurate but can't guarantee it.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Road to Prep isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost opportunities, and our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't be limited by law. Event participation is also governed by the waiver you sign.
12. Indemnity
If you misuse Road to Prep or break these Terms, you agree to cover the reasonable costs, including legal fees, of claims that result.
13. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or put others at risk. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as payment obligations, disclaimers and limits of liability) continue after an account ends.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire. Before filing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New Hampshire, and either party may bring an eligible claim in small claims court.
15. Changes
We may update these Terms. If we make important changes, we'll post them here with a new effective date and notify account holders. Continuing to use Road to Prep after the changes take effect means you accept them.
